“Takeshi San is an absolute gem! He was so sweet, patient and kind to me. He kept hyping me up and waiting for me to find the right words to speak in Japanese and proceeded to teach me some words and sentences which I didn't know of. Definitely some traits a teacher should have to reach their students. I truely enjoyed learning something new from him! ”

“I did not submit a review for January, but I would have given Takeshi-san 5 stars as well. In January, he helped me rebuild my confidence with listening and speaking. He also followed my expressed preferences, and focused the lessons on conversational practice, rather than textbook grammar. He also taught me vocabulary and kanji throughout the conversation. Takeshi-san's corrective feedback was always helpful, and was never frustrating. In February, I noticed that my listening and speaking had dramatically improved. When I listen to N3~N2 level Japanese podcasts, I can confidently follow along much better than before I started practicing with Takeshi-san and Kind Japanese. In my conversations with Takeshi-san, I also recognize that I am responding to his questions much faster and with more confidence than when I was in Japan last November. Most importantly, I feel like I can express more of my own authentic personality in my conversations with him, than I could before. I'm looking forward to continuing my practice!”
